Goals for the Program
- Help parents provide their children with a foundational knowledge, appreciation and belief in basic Christian doctrine
- Present Christianity through oral stories of the Old Testament, the life of Jesus and the early church
- Encourage children to grow in understanding and assurance of the presence and faithfulness of God through the use of music, movement, art and theater
- Help children explore choices and consequences by encouraging them to ask open-ended questions about feelings, faith, kindness, good works, unconditional love and our behavior and its effects on others
- Teach children values upon which we should model our lives, using the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, the parables taught by Jesus and the letters written to the early church
